Barb Lambert of Tofield, Alberta passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on January 27, 2021 at the age of 84 . She was born on June 25, 1936 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Barb grew up in Edmonton and did very well in school. She met Robert Henry Adams in her twenties and together had three children. While raising her children she had many careers; worked for many years for Canada Post, modelling, data input, bookkeeper and later ran a restaurant in Ryley, Alberta.
She loved all animals, plants, flowers and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs Lucy and Teddy. She had many memorable sayings with some of her favorites being “I Just Guess So”, “First Your Money Then Your Clothes” and “Dryer Than a Popcorn Fart”. She will be remembered as a loving Mother, Sibling, Grandparent, Great-Grandparent, Cousin, Aunt and Friend.
Barb was predeceased by her parents Richard George Lambert and Dorothy Bessie Lambert (nee Brander). She is survived by her brother David (Helga) and sister Lorraine. Beloved mother of sons Michael (Carol), Richard (Katherine) and daughter Bette (Glenn). She was the loving Grandmother to eight Grandchildren:
William (Armanda), David (Christine), Steven, Christy, Sean, Heather (Jamie), Katie (Alain) and Mitchell. As well as Great-Grandmother to eight precious children; Brayden, Hayley, Camryn, Marley, Matthew, Emily, Julian, and Lucas, with another due in June.
Due to the pandemic restrictions a private family graveside service was held at the Ryley cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
