BARBARA PATRICIA (TAIT) ELLIS
1953 – 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barbara Patricia (Tait) Ellis announce her passing at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB on July 17, 2021 at the age of 68. Barbara was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #244 and retired from Wawatay Inn. She is predeceased by her father, Derek Tait, grandparents, Harry and Gladys Tait and granddaughter Kaylynn. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her mother Marie Tait, husband Robert Ellis; son, Kenneth Hollett (Tracy), granddaughters Sydney and Alexis of Thompson, MB; daughter, Kimberly Dicks (Shane), grandsons Kurtlin, Blase and Lance of Thompson, MB; stepson Robert Ellis (Kecia), granddaughter Courtney and Grandson Christopher; stepdaughter, Norma-Jean Ellis (Jeff) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, grandsons Lucas and Jordan; and stepdaughter, Kelly-Anne Ellis (Dana), granddaughter Karissa and grandson Cameron of Bishop’s Falls, NL. Also leaving to mourn are her brothers, Bruce and Robert Tait; brother-in-law, Alfred (Connie) Ellis; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Pardy and Ollie (Terry) Eisenhaur; and many close relatives and friends. Barbara has left a lasting impression on all who have ever had the pleasure of knowing her. Rev. Kim Waite will conduct the funeral service from the Memorial United Church in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery. Urn bearer will be her daughter, Kimberly Dicks. There will be a lunch served at the Oddfellow’s Lodge on Union Street after the funeral service, all are welcome. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines of Central Funeral Homes.

I had the privilege of helping with Barb’s care at MICU and was so touched by her sense of humour. I have a great story from her last few days that i would love to share with the family. I have thought of you all very often. I hope you are doing alright. I would be fine with the family receiving my email address so i can share the story with them.
