It is with great sadness that the family of the late AUNDRIETTA STRANG of Lawn announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, at the age of 81.
She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Norbert Thomas Strang. Her family takes great comfort in the knowledge they are now reunited and at each other’s sides.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are children, Margaret Barry (Gerald) of Dartmouth, NS, Norbert Strang (Sarah Kelly) of Sus, NB, Janeth Barker (Mike) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Adell Strang (Russell) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Vaughn Strang (Josephine Escalona) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Richard Strang (Shallon Edwards) of Lawn, NL, Wayne Strang (Wanda Drake) of Colborne, ON, Michelle Walsh (Trevor) of Paradise, NL, and 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Beth Bishop of St. Lawrence, Julia Loder of Montreal, Marian Jean Loder of Halifax, NS, Jim Loder of St. Lawrence, Leo Loder of St. Lawrence, and Jack Loder of Houston, BC; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Iris Martin (Roland) of Ste. Anne de Madawaska, Raymond Strang (Agnes) of Lawn; lifelong friends Cela Loder of St. Lawrence, Hilda Dwyer of Toronto; many nieces and nephews; and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Aundrietta is predeceased by her parents Leo & Lillian Loder and Pauline & Richard Loder; daughter Aundrietta; siblings Pauline, Richard (Bud), Leone, Ted, Ena and Dan.
The Strang Family will accept visitors at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Parish in Lawn. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of Covid-19, a walk-through visitation will take place on Saturday, November 6th from 2pm-4pm and Sunday, November 7th from 2pm-4pm. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the church and masks are required.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Lawn on Monday, November 8th at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lawn.
The family would like to thank the amazing home care workers for providing such compassionate care and kindness over the years.
