Obituary
Audrey died Friday the 19th of November in the early hours of the morning in Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 94.
Audrey was born and raised in Carlisle, Cumbria in the North West of England. After finishing school she trained as an X-Ray Tech; it was a medical field that was in its infancy and very different from today.
Audrey married Andrew who she met in their church youth group after he returned from Germany and was demobbed. They were married for 66 years before Andrew died in January 2017. They lived in a number of areas around England, Scotland and Wales before moving to Alberta forty years ago, and finally retiring to Peachland in 2001. Audrey was much loved by her family and friends. She was always busy with some project, and always put others before herself. She will be missed by us all.
Audrey is survived by three of her four children: Michael, David and Diane, Pat and Joan; her daughters-in-law; grandchildren Paul, Angie, Jennifer, Phillip, Shelley, Richard, Christopher, Emma and Simon; great grandchildren Liam, Alex, and Nathan; and grandchildren’s partners Gavin, Donna, Brad, Tim and Stephanie.
There will be a private family thanksgiving of life at a later date.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at KGH as they looked after our mother over the last few days.
Please make any donations in memory of Audrey to the Cancer Society.
Arrangements are in the care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium,
West Kelowna Arrangement Centre (250-768-8925).
