Asti Livingston Koesoemawiria Thursday September 16th 2021

Livingston, Asti (nee Koesoemawiria) – It gives us great sorrow to announce the passing of a beautiful spirit. Asti died on Thursday September 16, 2021 in a plane crash in Sundridge, Ontario at the age of 45 years old. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and who were inspired by her charm, generosity, persistence, and ambition to excel. Asti leaves behind four children, Jonas (22), Margaret (20), James (18) and Jethro (10), her parents Emier and Tess Koesoemawiria, her brother Arief, and countless family and friends.
Asti was born in the Philippines, lived as a young girl in Kalimantan and Jakarta, Indonesia, and then returned to the Philippines for high school. She then went to San Diego for university, graduating with a degree in Child Development. After university she moved to Virginia where she started her family and gave birth to Jonas. After a brief stay in London, England, Asti moved to Markham, Ontario, where she settled for almost 20 years, and where she welcomed Margaret, James and Jethro into the world. In 2018 she decided to move to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a community she had always loved.
Asti was a woman of many talents—a pilot, a master scuba diver, an actress, a voice-over artist and a writer. She was an amazing storyteller, and could relate her incredible range of experiences; including singing in the San Diego Mission Choir for many years; and a performance for Pope Benedict in Rome; performing voice-over work for best-selling video games; flying cross country from coast to coast; and producing a book of underwater photography.
Asti was a passionate mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her smile could light up a room and she was always up for an adventure or new experience. She is missed already.
Under current pandemic conditions, provincial restrictions limit the number of guests at visitations, funerals and interments. All visitors must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing. Asti’s family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Sunday September 26, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 73 Picton St, Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday September 27, 2021 at 11 am. Due to limited capacity at the church, those who wish to attend the Funeral Mass must Register at www.morganfuneral.com. A live stream of the Funeral Mass may be watched at www.facebook.com/morseandson. Cremation will follow, with interment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish to continue her work of love, donations may be made to a charity that was near and dear to her. Asti supported the regular feeding programs for the poor led by missionary, Fr, Alex Rubio, OAD in the Philippines. Please contact the funeral home if you wish to make a donation.
