Obituary of Arthur Heinrich
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Arthur Heinrich of Linden, Alberta at the age of 88. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Regina Heinrich (Finster) and his four children, Karen, Debbie, (Don), Darcy (Sharon), and Lori, and his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as his brother Emil and his sister Gladys.
Art was predeceased by his parents Otillia Heinrich (Stumm) and Theodore Heinrich and his sisters, Herda and Ida. He was born in Hesketh, Alberta in a two room shack where his parents owned a farm. He attended school in Hesketh until grade 8 and helped his family with farming. Around 1940 his parents had a house built which gave more room for their growing family. Art worked on the railroad by Hesketh for two years when he was in his late teens. In 1954 Art’s dad died of a brain tumor. Emil was already married and farming at that time and Art took over the farming of the land that his dad owned. Together Emil and Art helped each other out with harvesting since they lived so close together.
Art married Regina Finster, from Valleyview, Alberta, on April 6, 1963. In 1974 they built a house a mile up the hill from where Art was born and raised. They always had a big garden and loved to share their produce with their friends and family. When Regina was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis, they retired from farming, as their children were not going to take over the farm. So they rented out the land, but continued to live on the home quarter until 2017. They moved into a new half duplex in Drumheller and were there for about a year and a half. But Art and Regina realized that they could live in the Linden Lodge where their good friends Art and Martha Rode were residing. So they moved into a fairly spacious unit in the lodge and have been there for two and a half years. They have really enjoyed the many activities, fellowship and the wonderful staff at the lodge.
Last month, on September 16, Art fell and broke his hip and was admitted into the Three Hills Hospital. The surgery was performed in the Red Deer Hospital and two days later he was transferred back to Three Hills. While recovering he was tested positive for Covid 19. On October 10, Thanksgiving Sunday, Art went home to be with Jesus. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Arthur Heinrich 2021..
