Obituary of Arthur “Art” Moody
Art peacefully passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in his 97th year. Art is survived by his loving wife Marg, who have enjoyed 45 years of a great marriage. Dear father of late Terry Moody (Vesta). Proud grandpa of Tammy (Rob), Rob (Heather), Terri (Terry) and Jodi (Justin). Dear brother of Lorraine Miller, late Glen (Geraldine) Moody and late Ross Moody. Art will be lovingly remembered by his 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Art will also be greatly missed by his nephew Peter (Donna) and his nieces Sandra and Peatra.
Art is a WWII Veteran – Served in the Royal Canadian Air Force; Husky Squadron #437 – in the European Theatre; Founding member of the King Township Police Force. Art was a butter maker by trade in Schomberg. Art then moved to Campbellford to manage Trent Valley Creameries. In 1974 he moved to the Greater Toronto Area, where he completed his career as a heavy truck specialist.
A private funeral service will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford followed by a spring interment at Schomberg Union Cemetery.
Livestreaming of the funeral service will be available for family and friends on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. A link will be provided here on Monday afternoon.
In Art’s memory, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
