Smith, Arthur “Art” Ross
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and 3 amazing sons at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus. Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Marthe and his sons Nathan, Philippe, and Cory. Cherished son of the late Charles and the late Catherine Smith and son-in-law of Gaston and Anita Paquette. Sadly, missed by his siblings Frank (Kathy), Bob (Susan), Jack (Sharon), Judy (Dave) and the late Jim and by his siblings-in-law Mario (Diane), Denis (Lise), Joanne (Michel), Robert (Lise) and especially by his sister-in-law Catherine. He will be terribly missed by his best coffee buddy/brother Ray, his May 24 gang, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his four-legged companion Cooper. Visitation will be held at St. Martin de Porres Church, 3891 Old Richmond Road, Nepean on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Due to the current COVID restrictions, attendance is limited and pre-registration for all events is required and can be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com/Art-Smith. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Movember Foundation or any Cancer affiliation would be appreciated by the family.
