Obituary of Arnold Edmund Danniel Sturt-Smith
STURT-SMITH: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Arnold Edmund Danniel Sturt-Smith of Grand Bend, formerly of Bracebridge, age 91. Beloved husband of Petronella “Nelly” Wilhelmina (Jansen) Jones. Loved step-father of Patricia Stewart and Mark Keen of Neustadt, David Jones of Stayner, Diane and Mario Santoli of Bolton, Wendy and Peter Kirk of Bracebridge and Trudy Moss of Ayton. Dear brother of Jim Sturt-Smith of Chillowack, BC. Survived by his son Glen Sturt-Smith and daughter Kathy and John Jackson. Fondly remembered by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Ernest Edmund and Ivy Hilda (Danniel) Smith, daughter Angela Sturt-Smith, step-son-in-law David Moss, 14 brothers and sisters and brothers-in-law Casey and John Jansen. At Arnold’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
