On Sunday January 24, as the new day broke, his body tired and frail, Armand Damase Beaudoin passed away peacefully at home. A long and full life, he was happy to leave when the Lord called him into his eternal care.
Armand was born September 8, 1928 in Caravale, Saskatchewan. The eldest of 12 children.
Many of Armand’s happiest moments were those spent with his family. He was a loving and faithful husband to his beloved Fern, wife of 65 years. He was a devoted father to his seven children. Janice Campbell, Ronald Beaudoin (Nevada), Monica Bober (James), Jerome Beaudoin (Deanne), Diane Anderson (Bill), Gerard Beaudoin, and Lynne Beaudoin (Brian). All of whom professed to be his favourite! Adoring Grandfather to his 19 Grandchildren – Suzanne, Katrina, Josh, Brenden, Lance, Brock, Brigitte, Simone, Andre, Alyssa, Kristian, Celynne, Chantel, Ali, Hannah, Chelsea, Tyler, Shelby and Jaycee. And 13 Great Grandchildren – Benjamin, Ruth, Hunter, Rose, Bastian, Ronan, Finn, Claire, Heidi, Jovie, Beau, Hudson and Lily. A legacy he was extremely proud of and cherished.
He also leaves behind many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
Armand loved to keep busy, he was always active in his community and church. After 35 years of teaching, he was happy to retire and spend more time reading and woodworking. His true passion was with his cars and going for drives, which lead to many road trips whether it was a Sunday drive or big family trips, the adventures were many! Armand was a fun, loving, generous man and up to the very end, his deep faith in God and sense of humour remained. His jokes were told, his memories had been shared, and his love abounding.
We will forever love you and we will stand taller knowing that you are now watching over us from above.
Due to the Covid restrictions, a private family funeral mass will be held St. Thomas More Church on Friday January 29th at 11:00 am. Please see above for the zoom access.
We will also be planning a Celebration of Life for Armand once Covid regulations allow for gatherings.
Because of his love for Children, any donations can be directed to The Stollery Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.
