Arcade Noel Thibodeau
Thibodeau, Arcade “Archie” – 88, Truro, passed away July 30, 2021 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Church Point, Digby County on December 23, 1932, son of the late Jim and Chantal (LeBlanc) Thibodeau. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Joan (Hopkins) in 2012. Also, predeceased by brother, Antoine Thibodeau, sister, Angele Saulnier and brother-in-law, George Saulnier. He is survived by his daughter, Anne Merina Thibodeau (Kevin Vaughan), Halifax, sister, Rita Corkum, Villa Acadienne, Meteghan. Archie was employed as an Autobody instructor for 25 years at the Nova Scotia Community College – Truro Campus, retiring in 1994.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 4 from 12pm until 1:45pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro. A Graveside Service will follow at 2pm in Watson Cemetery, 1997 East Prince St., Truro. – All are welcome. Father Andrew Rembarczyk will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Archie’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Parkland Truro where Archie resided for the past two years and the nursing staff in the Transitional and Continuing Care units at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre for their care and compassion in his final days.
