Obituary of ANTHONY FRANK BAKER
ANTHONY FRANK BAKER
Dad, words cannot describe the pain and sadness I feel, knowing that you won’t be with us anymore. You battled long and hard with your cancer, and last night, October 10th, 2021 at Riverview Health Centre, you closed your eyes and slept peacefully for the first time in a long time.
You taught me soo much growing up, and I still wanted to learn so much more from you. You gave me a second chance at life by adopting me, and showing me what a dad’s love for their son really is. From airplane rides on your shoulders before bed, to story time, taking me to my first dance class, to helping me get my own car, and soo many more memories, all these I will remember for as long as I live. You made home feel safe, and a place to be when times got tough. You loved mom unconditionally, and I saw that every day.
You just celebrated your 44th Anniversary, as well. That just shows the love you both shared for each other.
You made many friends throughout your life, and held that bond for years. You were always so easy going and did so much for everyone. I know that you will be missed greatly by them.
Close family, such as your sister Diane Varey, your friend from childhood Carl Goldman, and your close friend from work David Wiebe, have helped soo much with mom through this tough time, and are forever grateful for them. Friends also from the past and present have also come to help mom and myself get through this, and we are forever thankful.
Till we meet again pops, mom and I will do our best to cherish your memory, carry on your legacy, and live life to the fullest as you did.
Rest now, and know that you are in a better place.
Thank you for being my dad.
Love you always and forever
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of ANTHONY FRANK
