Obituary of Ann Witt
Ann passed away peacefully at Grey Gables in Markdale on November 17, 2021. Born in Chesley on April 9, 1932, Elizabeth Ann Witt (née Krug), was in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Witt (2006). Loving mother of Stan and his wife Rita, Marg Eriksen and her husband Delmer, and Mary Wilkie and her husband Jim. Cherished grandma of Jillian Witt (Fenwick McKelvey), Nathan Witt (Heather), Peter Witt (Alison), Daniel Eriksen, Maren Specht (Kyle Parkin), Ian Eriksen (Amanda), Melissa Klages (Troy Barron), Margaret Stafford (Kurt), Ryan Klages, and great-grandma of fifteen. Also survived by her brother-in-law George Wannan, and sister-in-law Norma Diegel.
Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Ethel Krug (née Reaburn), and by her sisters Yvonne Murphy (Don), and Margaret Wannan.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. All attendees must provide proof of double covid vaccination and wear a mask. A private funeral service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsford, on Monday, November 22, 2021, with Rev. Darlyne Rath officiating. Although the service is private a video recorded version will be posted to Ann’s memorial webpage shortly thereafter. Interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
