1958-2021
Lafford, Annie Catherine, age 62, formerly of Paqtnkek
Mi’kmaw Nation passed away on March 4, 2021, in the Strait
Richmond Regional Hospital.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was a daughter of the late
Benedict and Margaret (Stevens) Lafford.
When she was younger, Annie was an adult care worker and
enjoyed crafting. She loved to laugh and dance, and she was
always smiling. Annie was always excited to see her family,
no matter who.
She is survived by her children, Mike (Charlene) Lafford,
James Gardiner (Bernadette Peters), Peter Isaac (Sasha), and Annie
Margaret “Lulu” (Harvey Dunn); many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; godchild, Charlotte Lafford; siblings, Mary Ann
Sark (Harold Ehler), Johnny Lafford, Joan Lafford, Joseph Lafford,
Judy Lafford-Jones (Kenneth Jones), and Sandra Lafford, and by Peter
Isaac, Sr. “Pops”.
Special thanks to good friend, John R.
Prosper.
Predeceased by her daughter, Belinda Gardiner, and siblings,
Michael Patrick, Levi, Linda, Earl, and Helen Lafford.
Visitation will be held after 5pm Saturday in the Paqtnkek
Community Centre. Social distancing protocols must be
followed, and masks are mandatory. Funeral Mass will be held
Monday at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton,
Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding. A link to view the
