Obituary of Annette Murphy
MURPHY, Marie “Annette” (nee Walsh) of Port Dover passed away at Norfolk General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in her 83rd year. Cherished wife of Chuck for more than 61 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Paula (Ed) of Simcoe, Bill (Christine) of Stoney Creek, Sandra (pre-deceased), Chuck (Sandra) of Courtice, and Dan (Kathy) of Toronto. Proud and loving grandmother of Anali (Dustin), Alex, Daniel (Courtney), Meaghan, Grace, and Maeve, and great-grandmother of Aoife. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Paul and Linda of Peterborough and Valerie of Peterborough. Predeceased by brothers Frank, Gary, and Brian, sisters Loretta, Eileen and Kathy, and brother-in-law Lou. Annette will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Annette was an amazing artist, she loved to paint and draw and has produced many beautiful pieces. She was a Registered Nurse and spent most of her 40 year career with the VON. She was an active church member at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church. Visitation for Annette will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 3 pm to 6 pm at Thompson Waters Funeral Home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover 519-583-1530. Vaccine Certificates are required with identification – 2 doses plus 14 days. A private funeral mass will be held at St. Cecilia’s with interment at Port Dover Cemetery. Father Charles Akinloye celebrant. For those wishing donations to the Salvation Army or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.   1. My Condolences to Chuck and the Murphy Family, I remember Annette fondly. She always had a smile, was sincerely interested in listening and her home smelled wonderful with her excellent cooking! Mark VanBerlo

  2. Chuck and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. It has been a a long time since we have been togather. But our thoughts go back a number of years and the good times we had.
