McMillan, Mary Eva Anne (nee Desjardins)
Passed away at Albright Manor on Monday, August 9, 2021 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Robert ‘Sonny’ Card (1969) and the late Lyle Dean ‘Mike’ McMillan (1986). Loving mother of Sonja Brown (Bill), Jennifer Glanville (Stan), Stephen Card (Allison), and Jeffrey Card. Cherished grandma of Chris (Chrystal), Holly (Craig), Robbie, Adam, Keeley, Michaela, Darren (Tanisha). Proud great-grandmother of Rhonin and Linken. Dear sister of Betty Bunney (Jerry), Lorette DeBellis (Dominic), Evelyn Fearon, and Claude Desjardins (the late Thelma). Predeceased by her parents, Stuart and Lucienne, her sister, Pauline Paines (the late Martin) and brothers, Herbie and Freddie. Anne will be fondly remembered for her beautiful gardens and exceptional cooking and baking. She will be dearly missed. As per Anne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 12 noon until the time of Service of Remembrance in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Private family inurnment at St. Jude’s Cemetery, Oakville, at a later date. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance for the visitation and service below or by calling the Funeral Home. If desired, memorial contributions to Sick Kids Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
