Obituary of Anna May Schiestel
Anna May Schiestel (née Martin) passed away surrounded by family at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, at the age of 108.
Beloved wife of the late Matthew Schiestel (1980).
Dear mother of Alice McKinnon of Southampton and Judy Haelzle of R. R. #2 Teeswater.
Missed by her grandchildren, Dean McKinnon (Kerrie), Larry McKinnon (Lynda), Chris McKinnon (Sarah), Brenda Haelzle, Sherry Weiler (Al), Rob Haelzle, and Jenn Schneider, great-grandchildren, Lauren, Aletia, Corey, Samantha, Derek, Amber, Jevan, Karlee, Paige and Pearle and great-great-grandson Mylez.
Fondly remembered by her sister Betty Hackbart and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sons-in-law Robert Meyer and Bob Haelzle, grandson-in-law Trevor Schneider, parents Albert and Mary (née Doerr) Martin and siblings, Clarence Martin, Madeline Smelser, Rita Carr, Joseph Martin, Francis Martin, Marie Benninger, Florence Haynes and Marj Pitvor.
Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater at 11:00 a.m., with Father Paul Edmondstone officiating.
Proof of vaccination is not required to attend the funeral mass. However, all attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
Reception to follow at the Teeswater Town Hall. Proof of vaccination is required to the reception. All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
Spring interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorial donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
