Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Ann Elizabeth White at Ridgewood Veterans Wing on December 28, 2021. Born in Woodstock NB, February 13, 1947, the second youngest daughter of the late George and Alice (Bennett) White. Ann worked in the medical profession as a nurse’s aide and later as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years in Ontario and New Brunswick. Ann took great pride and loved her profession. Ann enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, crochet, crafting, cross-stitch, and quilting. She poured her love into her creative works and often gave them as gifts. Ann was an independent soul with wanderlust. She journeyed across Canada coast to coast. She took in the beauty of the North on an Alaskan cruise. Eventually, she made it across the ocean to visit the lands of her Irish ancestors.
Ann is survived by her son Michael Gunstone of Ontario, siblings Patrick White, Mary Layman (Morgan). Ann had 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 4 grand nieces, 11 grand nephews. Ann was predeceased by her parents, her brother Michael White and sister Margaret White.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). No public visitation by request. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 31st at 12 noon in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, after a brief private family visitation. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, seating is limited at the funeral service. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact 646-2424 to RSVP. Proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued identification is required as well. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
