Ann Doiron

The passing of Ann Doiron, wife of Joseph “Yvon”
Doiron of Pennfield NB occurred peacefully at her home surrounded by
her family on December 7, 2021. Born in Newcastle NB on November 17,
1936, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and M. Florida (Hache)
Godin. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
great-great-grandmother, in addition to her husband, Yvan, Ann is
survived by one son: Edmund Doiron (Jeanne) of Pennfield NB;
daughters: Noreen Allain (Desire) of Moncton NB, Diane Guimond (Adien)
of St. Charles NB and Betty Ann Doiron of Moncton NB; 10
grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Ann was
predeceased by one brother: Willie Godin; and one sister: Nellie
Belliveau. Ann was the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
In her earlier years Ann worked for a short time for Connors
Brothers in Blacks Harbour. After her children arrived she devoted her
time to her family and home. Ann enjoyed board games, especially
Pichnoc, and playing Bingo when she had the chance. She was an avid
knitter and could be found doing puzzles and crossword puzzles in her
spare time. Ann was a lover of music, especially classic country music
and enjoyed listening to her son Edmund and daughter Noreen singing on
stage. In her later years, Ann enjoyed a nice glass of Red Wine and
spending time with her family, especially her children and
grandchildren, who became her life and treasure. She will be sadly
missed and forever loved by her family.
