Obituary
Died peacefully at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s on 7 December 2021, at the age of 75, following a short illness. Beloved wife of Douglas Feltham for 50 years.
Loving mother of Mark Feltham and Dana Feltham, who sadly predeceased her on 26 December 2020, and loving mother-in-law to Clif Budden. Proud nan of Sam Feltham.
Cherished sister of Rosemary Parsons (Vic), Marguerite Youden (Carl), Jeannie Martin (Randy Robertson), and aunt to many nieces and nephews across Canada and the United States and sister-in-law to Merle Feltham (Dulcie), also special sister-in-law to Isobel and Judy Martin.
Also predeceased by her father, James Martin, mother Alice Martin (O’Keefe), her brothers James, Bill, Michael, and David Martin and her sisters Elizabeth-Ann Martin, Anne Woodford (Pat) and Terese Bromm (Larry).
Special thanks to Dr. Mercedes Penton, the nurses and doctors of 4 South A at the Health Sciences Centre and the Palliative Care Unit at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, and the home-care workers who assisted her during her last week at home.
Anita was a sublimely skilled cook and baker, a dedicated reader, and an adored caregiver to generations of kids who flourished under her expert care in her babysitting business. She also loved working with her husband Doug in their garden and spending time with friends and family, especially her Monday-night “club.”
Funeral service will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday December 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM. The service will be livestreamed for those who wish to attend virtually and the link can be found on Barrett’s website. As per government of NL regulation, proof of vaccination is required to attend.
