Angela Reardigan
June 15, 1942 – December 26, 2021
Passed peacefully away at her home during the Christmas Season in the presence of her family after a most courageous battle with cancer, Angela Ellen Reardigan, aged 79 years.
Angela is predeceased by her parents Jack and Nellie Hanlon; sister Peggy; and her brother Tom.
Left with broken hearts but with the most amazing and cherished memories, her husband Mike; daughter Denise and devoted son-in-law Mark; sons David and Danny; special nephew Carl Hanlon; her grandchildren; plus a very large circle of close friends and relatives.
Mom loved to be surrounded by family celebrating all the milestones but especially birthdays. Her devotion to her family, children and grandchildren was unconditional. Mom’s faith was that she lived by the Power of Prayer which touched every aspect of her life in many ways. She had a sense of wit and humor that complimented the nurturing of her family in every way possible. Mom loved to travel, especially visiting family and friends and loved a game of cards on any given night. She had a green thumb which was very evident in how her gardens looked each year. She loved to watch her grandson play softball or take in her granddaughter’s dance recitals or gymnastic competitions. She had a love for Professional Ice Skating and took in many shows in Halifax with her sons at any given opportunity. Our Mom’s favorite time of year is Christmas. She loved buying gifts for her family and friends as it gave her tremendous joy each year.
We would like to thank all who supported and cared for our Mom in the past three years, especially Dr. Bergstrom and the nursing staff of 4 North A the Health Sciences Centre who went above and beyond to ensure our Mom got her final wish to be home with her family. We would also like to express enormous gratitude to our family friend Bunny Bridger, who helped care for Mom in her final days.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Angela’s name can be made to Stella’s Circle, Emmanuel House.
“Her body, it was tired, but her heart didn’t want to go.
God knew that it was difficult and he wanted her to know,
That he was right beside her and it was time for her to go.
He placed his arms around her, and whispered in her ear,
‘It’s time to take you home with me, and I will calm your fears.’
A Mother’s love is a blessing, this for sure we know,
As a piece of our heart went with her,
On that evening God took her home.”
“We never lose those we give to God.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Angela Reardigan 2021..
