Obituary of Andy Furlanetto
FURLANETTO, ANDREA (ANDY) – Andy Furlanetto, aged 84, of Vineland, Ontario, passed away on November 26, 2021 at home. Beloved husband of Barbara (Southall), father to Leanne (Scott) and Alicia (Derek) and Angela (Byron). Loving Nonno and Grandpa to Austin, Jordon, Josh and Benji and survived by brother Frank and sister Renata. Predeceased by sister Fernanda and brother Zaffiro.
Andy was born in Castelfranco-Veneto on February 1, 1937. Predeceased by his mother Tosca (1949) and father Allesandro (1950). He loved soccer and played professionally in both Italy (Cittadella) and for Toronto Italia and Hamilton Steelers. He continued playing soccer in Old Timers leagues for many, many years. He worked at Stanley Steel/Cold Metal Products and left his position as maintenance manager after 38 years. He was a wonderful person who was happy to travel anywhere and who could fix almost anything imaginable. He will be sadly missed by all, including his friends in Cuba, Italy, England and Canada.
Cremation has taken place.
Pre-registration is required for visitation. Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Friday December 3, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
