Born in Croatia, Ana passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Josip. Loving mother of Anica and her husband Mirko Lesic. Devoted grandmother of Diana MacQueen and her husband John, and Donny Lesic and his wife Darlene. Cherished great-grandmother of Nikolina, Marko and Nadia. Predeceased by her sister Katarina Janakovic (Juraj). Loving aunt of Mira Broz, Zlatko Janakovic, Yvonne Lippert and their families. Ana was a longtime employee of Dare Foods. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends in Canada, United States and Croatia.
Ana’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4:45 – 7:45 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer St., on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10 a.m. Please note that if you plan to attend the visitation or the mass, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. Mary’s Hospital – Cardiac Care or Holy Family Croatian Church would be appreciated.
