Alvin “Al” Alexander Hoffman
Alvin “Al” A. Hoffman,
91, of Pavillon Richard, Faubourg du Mascaret, and formerly of Murphy
Avenue, Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday,
January 25, 2021.
Born in Bear Lake, Ontario, he
was the son of the late John and Sarah (McNab)
Hoffman.
A retired Transport Truck
Driver, his hobbies included old country fiddling and repairing and
rebuilding violins.
Al
will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita (Caissie) Hoffman; daughters,
Mary Lynn Chalk (late William) of Elmvale, ON and Katherine Burger
(Kevin) of Barrie, ON; sons, David Hoffman (Emma) of Hornepayne, ON,
Stephen Hoffman (Wendy) of Arthur, ON and Gregory Hoffman (Anna) of
Barrie, ON; stepchildren, Geraldine Douglas (Scott), Ronald Hebert
(Margo), Diane Gallant (Gerry), Debbie Hebert, Norman Hebert, Bernice
Allison (Bruce) and Linda Byers; 20 grandchildren; 14 great
grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Karen
Hoffman; son, Robert Hoffman; brothers, John and Stanley and first
wife, Leila (Clarke) Hoffman.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657
Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of
arrangements.
A private service by invitation
only will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:30 pm. To

Interment will be in Elmwood
Cemetery in the spring.
