Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Saturday, November 6, 2021 Alonzo Dean of Southport, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his parents William John and Laura Dean; brothers Jim, Lloyd, Eric, Allan; sister Delphine Simmons; sisters in law Ruby, Bonnie, Beatrice Dean. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Janet of 47 years; children Neil (Karen), Tony (Bonnie), Michael (Kayla); grandson Isaac; brother Gladstone (Linda); sisters Millicent Lambert (Hector), Frances Kelly (Lewis); sisters in law Meta Dean, Joyce Dean and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Heart’s Ease. Family visitations will take place on Sunday, November 7 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Visitations on Monday, November 8 will be announce when confirmed. Funeral Service will be 2 PM on Tuesday, November 9 at the United Church, Little Heart’s Ease with interment to follow at the Southport United Cemetery. Due to large numbers of family and limited church seating, the Funeral Service is by invite only. Covid Rules will be followed. There will be a funeral procession immediately following the church service to Alonzo’s wharf in Southport before going to the cemetery.
