Alma’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of the late Alma Margaret Osmond announce her passing on Sunday September 26th, 2021 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Truman (Doreen) Osmond , Janette (Hayward) Rodgers and Susan Pittman. 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Brothers; Albert (Edna) Osmond and Stewart (Betty) Osmond and Brother-in-law Gordon (Marina) Osmond. Also left to mourn are her many nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends and Aunt Gladys Osmond.
Alma was predeceased by her husband Leslie, sisters; Martha Pynn, Fannie Saunders and Rebecca Ralph, brother; Edgar, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her parents Elizabeth Ann & Azariah Osmond, parents-in-law; Melinda & Herbert Osmond, brother-in-laws; Stuart Ralph, Joe Pynn, Ernest Saunders, Elikium Osmond, Enercius Osmond and Frank Gale, sister-in-laws; Beatrice Gale, Selina Osmond, Claudine Osmond and Jane Osmond.
The family extends a sincere thank you the nurses and staff of the 3rd. floor ( 3C) at Western Memorial for the care given to their mom during her stay there, also to Dr. Ennis, Dr. Connor and her special doctor Dr. Stephen Murphy. To the Hampden ambulance service, caring hands ambulance and mom’s homecare worker Judy Curtis, Rev Laing for visiting mom while she was sick and also Parsons Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving family and friends at the Anglican Church in Hampden on Wednesday September 29th, 2021 from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm also where the funeral service will take on Thursday September 30th, 2021 at 2pm with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating, burial will follow at the family plot at The Rooms. Please keep the Covid-19 Government restrictions in mind during visitation, masks must be worn at all times.
We know our grieving families still need to feel the same level of support from you their family, friends, loved ones and community.
