Payne, Allan:
With sadness we announce that Allan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Christine for over 55 years. Loving father of Tracy Fihrer (Paul) and Calvin (Sarah). Cherished “Granddad” of Jake, Liv, Josh, Chloe and Nathan. Dear brother of Roy (predeceased), Rita (Mike), Robert (predeceased), Lesley (Eileen), Sue (Paul), John and Kevin. Allan, “Uncle Al”, “Mr. Fridays” is surely organizing a soccer match and a karaoke after-party in heaven. We will join you again for those celebrations, Allan.
Allan’s family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener. Memorial Service in the chapel on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Please note that if you plan to attend, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling 519-749-8467. Those unable to attend may view Allan’s service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. via the following live stream link:

A celebration of life to follow from 12:00 pm-3:00pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Maxwell’s Concerts & Events, 35 University Ave. E. Unit 2, Waterloo. Proof of vaccination required.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
