Allan (Al)’s Obituary
Peacefully, surrounded by the love and support of his family, Allan passed from this life on Monday December 13, 2021 at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford. He was 73 years of age. Beloved son of Marjorie McIver (nee. Mielhausen) and the late Norman McIver (2009). Cherished husband and best friend of Donna McIver (nee. McDougall). Loving father of Marsha Potvin (Roger) and Cindy Clark (Jeff). Beloved ‘Papa’ of Jaedyn (Ellie), Kyle and Joshua. Brother of Linda Edwards (Gordon) and Lee-Anne Detlor (Jim) and the late Rodger McIver (Cathy). Allan will be dearly missed by his extended family and many dear friends. Allan and Donna owned and operated Al’s Appraisal Service for 30 years. Allan was passionate about anything that “Runs Like A Deere” and enjoyed working on any John Deere in need of some TLC. Allan enjoyed evenings that he and Donna spent playing cards with friends.
Friends will be received at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, on Thursday from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday December 17, 2021 at 11 a.m. Allan’s service will be live streamed on Facebook Live. To view the service, please visit and “Like” the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Facebook page. You will be notified just prior to the service that the video feed is live.
