Alida Dianne Genn (nee Sincennes), beloved wife of Dan Genn of Medicine Hat, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 75 years. Alida was born on March 17, 1946 in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, a daughter to Joseph and Gabrielle Sincennes. She married Dan Genn in Winnipeg on December 15, 1979. Alida was a dedicated and loyal employee with the Government of Canada where she worked as an administrator. She kept herself busy and enjoyed crafting, reading, crossword puzzles, golf and she was the most amazing cook! Alida could host the most fabulous dinner parties and events such as their annual golf event. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Daniel and sons, Rene (Tracy) and their children, Danielle, Colleen (Chad) Lapointe, Nicole Tylor) Balcean; son, Ron and son, Jim and his children, Dylan and Sara; step-children including step-son, Bill (Carol) Genn and their children, Carly, Kirby and Alex; step-sons, Jeff (Jackie) Genn and Steve (Catherine) Genn and their children, Adam and Danielle; step-daughter, Jan Genn as well as nieces and nephews. Alida came from a family of seventeen brothers and sisters. Special thanks to her niece, Rachelle and Keith Lawrence and their family for all their help and support. Alida’s life will be silently remembered by family and friends.
