ALICE VICTORIA BOYKO
(nee Sweetman)
October 29, 1930 – May 27, 2021
Alice Boyko (nee Sweetman) passed peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at the age of 90, at her retirement home, Ja-Jireh in Beamsville, Ontario.
Alice was born in West Hamilton, Ontario to her parents Mae and George Sweetman, predeceased by siblings Gladys, Edna and Tom.
Alice spent most of her adult life in Lynden, Ontario raising her four children with her husband, John Ivan Boyko (predeceased).
Alice will be dearly missed by her children Christine, Tim (Claudette), Todd and Mark, grandchildren Benjamin Boyko, Stephanie Boyko and Jacqueline Gallienne-Boyko.
Alice was healthy until her last years, often traveling to Vancouver to visit her family there. She never turned down an opportunity to go anywhere and continued to always be up for an adventure. Alice was an avid painter and enjoyed her tennis in earlier years and watching it when she was no longer able to play.
Alice was a devoted and active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and will be missed by her many dear friends in the Brantford, Dundas and Grimsby congregations.
A memorial service will be held on her behalf by her Grimsby congregation, via zoom meeting, on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
Those wishing to attend the zoom memorial can obtain login details from her dear friend Brian Dobrowolski ph. 519-754-0569.
