Alice was born and raised in Cook’s Harbour, NL and lived most of her life in Windsor, NL where she raised her six children. She loved being at home, working in her garden, cooking and baking for her family. She dearly loved berry picking, playing Bingo with her friends around town and a good game of cards. All grandchildren were taught Cribbage and she would always let them win. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and Nan’s house was the fun place to be where love, food and treats were unlimited. Her kindness spilled over to the neighborhood children who always came to visit and enjoy her company.
Visitation will take place 2:00-4:00 Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Hoskins Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place 1:00 Wednesday, Dec. 1 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Grand Falls-Windsor.
Donations can be made in Alice’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy, Newfoundland Chapter.
How can you write a teardrop
As it trickles down your cheek,
Or the pain down deep within my heart
Whenever your name I speak.
I think of you in silence
And often speak your name,
But I have precious memories
And your picture in a frame.
There is a bridge of memories
From here to heaven above,
That keeps you very close to me
It’s called the “Bridge of Love”.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Alice
