Alice Schlossberg
(née Quint)
With deep sadness and loss we announce the passing of Alice Quint Schlossberg on Friday, December 10, 2021. Beloved wife of Ernest for fifty-eight years. Devoted, loving and forever supportive mother of Julie, Mona, Howard and Alan; and mother-in-law to Nir Nagar and Anthony Vinson. Cherished for her love, humour, and ever presence in our lives. Beloved grandmother of Samuel, Joseph, Izak (Tanys), Arielle (Alexis), Dana, Erika, David, Sophia and Hannah. Daughter of the late Bess and the late Hyman Quint, and loving sister of Joan Caplan and Fern Quint.
Alice was well loved by all who knew her. She lived her life with both simplicity and authenticity. One of her finest qualities was her devotion and love for her many lifelong friends. Her love for her family was paramount and she put the needs of her children and grandchildren before all else. Alice spoke of all her children and grandchildren with such pride and celebrated their accomplishments and told them how proud she was of them right up until her final moments. Alice had a kind word for everyone. Her home was welcoming and open to all. She faced challenges with stoicism. Her humour was unrelenting.
Despite her numerous health problems she had an enduring and fighting spirit that never wavered.
In keeping with the legacy of her parents, Alice volunteered by calling seniors and to inform them of events and provide a friendly and listening ear. In her later years her thirst for learning and growth increased significantly. A private service will take place. Shiva strictly private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Lung Cancer Canada, 1-888-445-4403.
“May the fine qualities, stories, and ethical principles that Alice lived by be an example for us all. May each one of us carry her spirit in our hearts forever.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Alice Schlossberg 2021..
