It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Alice Lavallée (née Labelle) at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Jerome Jerry Lavallée. Loved mother of Jacques “Jack” Lavallée (Nicole), Diane Moore (late John), Claude Lavallée (Peggy), Pierre “Pete” Lavallée (Janet) and Alain Lavallée (Francine) all of Cornwall. Sadly, missed by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Loved daughter of the late Elzear Labelle and the late Celima Labelle (née Major). Dear sister of André Labelle (Jackie) and sister-in-law of Phylis Labelle (late Sylvio) both of Cornwall. She is predeceased by 5 sisters and 6 brothers. She will be greatly missed by loved nieces and nephews. As per Alice’s wishes, there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A mass for the repose of her soul will take place on Friday, October 29th, 2021 at St. Felix de Valois Church at 11 a.m. Family will be in attendance from 10:30 a.m. to receive friends and family at the church. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. A special thank you to Diane Caron (my angel) and Jacques and Nicole for the care and compassion and for sharing their home with me for a few years. If so desired contributions in her memory can be made to Cornwall Hospice or to the charity of choice.
