Obituary
Alexis Kostis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and close friends, on Sunday December 19, 2021 at the age of 64 years. He is predeceased by his parents Christofferson and Evgenia, and his sister Kiki and leaves behind his partner Katya (son, Yann) and three children, Kyle, Kara (Michael) and Matthew (Jessica).
Alexis was born on May 22, 1957, in Athens, Greece, and immigrated to Montreal, Canada at the young age of 19. He was a jack of all trades and dabbled in many different entrepreneurial endeavours throughout his lifetime. From driving a taxi, owning, and operating restaurants, getting his real estate license, and helping many small businesses get off the ground, he was always helping people and curiously learning new skills. However, his most proud accomplishment was his three children.
He was an avid fisherman, frequently taking his beloved camper van, an ongoing passion project, to Port Renfrew, BC to catch Perch and set crab traps. He was known to be a very good and competitive dart player, spoke Greek, French, English, German, Spanish, and was fiercely loyal and honest. He will be dearly missed by many in the Greek community, both in Edmonton and Calgary and of course, by all those who knew and loved him.

A true gentleman who was smart, dedicated, loyal and intense. Alexis contributed to so many causes and was right up to the end commuted to helping friends and those business interests he was involved with. Taken from us before his time and his friends will miss him. Rest In Peace my friend.
