Alexis Rae Holt “Birdie”
1991 – 2021
It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alexis “Birdie” Holt on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Alexis was born on January 23, 1991 in Powell River, British Colombia to her parents, Ken and Dawn Holt. Within days of her birth her dad affectionally gave her the nick name “Birdie”. She has been the family “Birdie” since then.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Kyra Holt; and nephew, Grayson Brown.
Birdie was known for her love of animals and enjoyed being outdoors hiking, snowboarding, and biking. Birdie was a down to earth person, her love of animals pushed her to a adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. She had a bright, energetic and funny personality that was unforgettable. Her laughter was contagious and she had a smile that lit up any room. Birdie, touched countless lives and will always be remembered by her kind and compassionate spirit. She had a heart of gold and was always ready and willing to help a friend. Her passion to connect with people led her into the field of nursing, she especially loved to work with the elderly, her patience and caring nature was appreciated by all her patients and their families. She left a lasting impression on all.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support for Birdie that we have felt and experienced during this very difficult time.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00pm.
If you so desire in lieu of flowers, A Go Fund Me page will be created to honour Birdie’s love of animals, donations would be welcomed and all funds will go to an animal rescue.
