Alexander Rankin McKay Cairns Sandy March 25th 1932 (Islay Alberta) April 23rd 2021 (Vancouver B.C.)

Sandy will be missed by his wife Eva; his daughters Kitty and Robyn; and his three grandsons, David and Andrew Hass and Ian Thompson.
Sandy graduated with highest standing from University of British Columbia (UBC) medicine in 1956 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UBC. Following fellowship training in endocrinology in Toronto, Boston and Cleveland he returned to an academic position in the UBC Department of Medicine. He is fondly remembered by many UBC medical students for his dedication to clinical teaching.
Sandy had a deep, lifelong passion for golf which he shared with Eva and many friends. The golf course was where he loved to be.
Our thanks to all staff at Crofton Manor for their excellent care. We cannot thank you enough.
Donations to Union Gospel Mission, Vancouver, BC (www.ugm.ca) would be appreciated.
