MATCHEM, Alexander – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL on Monday, October 25, 2021, Alexander Matchem of Brooklyn, age 78 years. Predeceased by his parents Willis and Veita Matchem; daughter Judy; son Shawn, niece Veita Matchem; brother-in-law Norman Diamond. Left with fond and loving memories his children Sharlene Matchem, Kendra Matchem (Jamie) and Jason Matchem; grandchildren Trinda Perry (Noah), Trent Matchem (Sherry), Troy Vardy (Nicole), Teeanna Cardoulis (Steve), Tinikka Matchem (Dillon), Tori Matchem (Matt), Kayla Matchem (Justin) and Shawna Matchem; great grandchildren AJ, Peyton, Preston, Raya, Leah, Jaxon and Jake; sister Phyllis Diamond; brother Edward (Mary) Matchem; son-in-law Rod Wiseman; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service will take place at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Friday, October 29, 2021 with cremation to follow.
