Obituary of Alexander “Jack” Calderwood
Alexander John Calderwood
June 10, 1932 – November 10, 2021
Passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (née Perry) and devoted father of Jeff (Lynn), Perry, Kimberly (Tim) and Deborah (Rob). Dear Grandpa of Lauren, Mallory, Kristi, Jenna, Tyler, Mia, Cody, Matthew, and Nate. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mary (née Maltman), sister Mary, and brothers Dave and Tom.
In addition to raising four children, Jack enjoyed and took pride in his career as an accountant with Canada Revenue Agency for over 30 years and later as a consultant for leading accounting firms. He volunteered his time and talents to numerous charities and to the United Church.
He will be fondly remembered by his family and his many friends for his generosity, kindness and sense of humour. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Westwood and to Jack’s medical support team.
The family is planning a private funeral and celebration of Jack’s life. Donations to charity of choice are welcome.
