Alden C. Gordon
1944-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Father,
Alden Carleton Gordon, on November 30, 2021 at the age of 77 in Slave
Lake, AB. He will be deeply missed by all. He was born in Windsor,
Hants Co., NS April 21, 1944.
He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Ruth(Ingram) Gordon,
his brother John Gordon and his sister Carrie Fox.
Alden is survived by his children, Joseph(Crystal), David(Maddie)
& Nicole Walton(Mike) and their mother Arline. He had several
grandchildren and great grandchildren; his siblings Elroy Gordon,
Shirley Metlin, Joyce Wallis and Audrey Gordon. He will be greatly
missed by several nieces and nephews.
Alden loved his family dearly. They were the light of his life. For
hobbies, he loved woodworking, being outside, spending time with
family & friends. In his life time he touched so many lives. He
lived most of his life in New Brunswick. Then traveled to Alberta to
spend the remainder of his years with his sons.
We want to thank all those that took such great care of him from
Points West and all those at the Slave Lake Hospital. Special thanks
to those who helped us in the palliative care unit. You were all so
caring!
Respecting Alden’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A burial
will be at a later date in Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to Points West or a charity of the donors wish.
