Alan Kirk Wyllie
1966-2021
Alan Kirk
Wyllie – age 55, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Born August 1, 1966 in Balloch, Scotland. He is survived by his wife,
Janet Fraser, Delhaven; daughter, Jamie (Tony); son, Andrew (Sheila);
brother, Robin (Pam); two grandchildren, Ella and Kara; and many
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Robin, mother,
Patricia and brother, John.
Al has been described as kind, unique,
wonderful, unapologetically himself, loud, knowledgeable, crazy, a man
of his word, funny, loving, storyteller, adventurous. All of these
things and more made him who he was. He will always be my husband,
Viking warrior, Skald.
RJ writes: I shared a bedroom with Al for 15
years. Although we would have gladly throttled one another at times,
we did eventually emerge unscathed. Old Al was always up for an
adventure or a jape, like climbing high rise cranes or spray painting
the Harbour Doors. I lost my baby brother and my best friend. It
surely sucks hard, but I’ll never forget
him.
As per his wishes, there will be no service.
Family and friends will be having a bonfire and some beers for him at
a later date. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
