Obituary of Agnes Genevieve Wiome
July 26, 1929 – November 9, 2021
With sadness the family of Agnes Wiome announces her passing on November 9, 2021, at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.
Agnes came to Canada with her family in 1929. On October 14, 1948, she married Edward Wiome and thus began a beautiful life together in Minton, Saskatchewan. They farmed for seven incredible years. It was never about having much, with regular crop failures, but more about the amazing times they shared, times people now can only dream of having or experiencing.
The next big move came the new home in Ocean Falls, then Gibsons Landing and finally Cranbrook. Our mom was one unlike any other, with the ability to make each of her kids feel so incredibly loved and possessing skills so few have now, to always have a can of jam made or something she sewed for them to wear.
So now mom, you can rest in peace surrounded by your family as you enjoy a game of cards, just like old times… All together again.
Agnes is survived by her loving husband Edward, children Sharlene (Lindsay), Rick (Elizabeth), Shirley (Geoff) and Karalee, grandchildren David, Kirk, Lonny, Taylor (Jordan), and Sydney (Thais), great grandchildren Britney, Keaton, Trey, Grayson, Jayce, Braden, and Jordyn. Mom also leaves behind her sister Veronica (Harold), her loving extended family of many nieces and nephews and the countless friends she made over the years.
There will be no service as we are taking mom back to Minton, Saskatchewan where her amazing adventure and life began with
dad.
A very special thanks to Dr. IIona Amstutz from all of us, you took such amazing care of mom, and we are forever grateful to you for that.
