Obituary of Agnes Cornies
Agnes Cornies (nee Neufeld)
With great sadness, our family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on March 30, 2021 at the age of 94 years. Agnes was predeceased by her loving husband and partner of 52 years, David Cornies (1999). Cherished mother of Dave (Carolyn) Cornies, Linda (Bob) Kipping, Sharon (Steve) Oulahen, Gerry (Sonja) Cornies and Ken (Shauna) Cornies. Proud and loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, Lianne Braun (Dan), David Cornies, Daniel Cornies (Karrie), Sarah Kipping (Ilan), Rob Kipping (Jasmin), Greg Oulahen (Becky), Laura Shantz (Dan), Kevin Cornies (Dana), Bradley Cornies (Meghan), Mario Vona (Anna), Lia Nistico (Phill), Kaesha Cornies and Jaclyn Cornies, as well as 22 precious great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Helen (George 1996) Founk and Helga (Abe) Driedger. She will be missed by sister-in-law Helen (Bill 2018) Cornies and many nieces and nephews. Agnes and her husband, Dave, worked side by side for many years on their farm on Fraser Road in Leamington. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and needlepoint. We will all miss her delicious home-cooked meals and baking. She cherished our family gatherings and was always very welcoming to extended family and friends. Agnes was a member of the Leamington United Mennonite Church for many years. Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service has been held. If desired, memorial donations made to the Leamington Mennonite Home are appreciated. Share words of comfort at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
