Agnes Denise (Boom) Vanseveren
Born 1930 in Lendelede, Belgium and passed away on March 8th 2021, in her 91st year with family by her side.
Agnes married her sweetheart Alfons Vanseveren (died 2010) in January 1954 and came immediately to Canada to fulfill her fathers’ wish of coming to Canada. They arrived with $4.00 between them and worked hard to give their children a better life. They both were proud Canadians and said Canada is the most beautiful country in the world.
Predeceased by her parents Henri Boom and Eleonora Beheydt, her brothers Lucien and Arsene and a sister, Mary. She is survived by her sister Annie Boom as well as nieces and nephews in Belgium.
Beloved strong mother of Rosemarie Vanseveren Baker (Ron), Mia Vanseveren Kristan (Fred) and Christopher Vanseveren (Jackie). Much loved Metje to Niall Uebele, Alex (Sena), Eric, Thomas (Stephanie), Taylor (Tony), James and Channing (KC) and uber Metje to Vincent, Dean and Emmett.
Agnes was well known for her sewing and was much loved for her wedding gown creations. She is a past member of the CWL at St. Mary’s Church, a very thoughtful and generous woman and always thinking of family first.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Hilltop Manor 2nd and 3rd floor staff, Kavita and the BSO team especially Sharon and Vincent.
Funeral arrangements are through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-4238). Cremation has taken place. A family memorial is planned for a later date when we can all be together.
