ADELINE (DEE-DEE) PETRZELKA
(Nee Miga)
Dee-Dee passed away at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg on October 10th, 2021. She was 72 years old.
She is survived by her husband Vince, children Dana and Vincent as well as her 4 younger sisters Mary Anne, Beddie, Wanda and Helen (and many nieces and nephews). She was predeceased by her parents Nick and Helen Miga and older brother Norman.
Dee-Dee grew up in Winnipeg’s North End and attended St. John’s High School. She then began her career in various secretarial roles in between raising her two children. As a mature adult she went back to high school to upgrade her skills and get a second diploma, after which she attended Red River College to study business administration. She spent much of her time attending and supporting the various activities and performances of her children, both when they were young and grown up. She also enjoyed spending her spare time gardening, taking aqua fit classes and enjoying summers at Albert Beach.
Dee-Dee was always willing to put in hard work into any task she tackled as well as help out and advise family and friends. She always encouraged her children to enjoy life, be responsible and work hard.
