A. “Rosie”‘s Obituary
DEVEAU, Arsenne M. “Rosie” – age 76, Hebron, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the QE II Health Sciences Centre (Infirmary Site), Halifax. She was known for her faith, her friendship and looking-out for others and their needs, and she regularly attended St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald “Don” Deveau; daughters, Kim (Dean) O’Brien and Lynn (Paul) Foote, both of Yarmouth; step-children, Michelle Deveau (Bob Ryan) and Debbie Deveau (Bernie Amiro), as well as by grandchildren, Dean, Kaitlyn and Brogan O’Brien; Ashley Doucette; Amy Nickerson; step-grandchildren, Michael Duckworth and Madison Clairmont as well as by seven great grandchildren (and another great-grandson on the way!). Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Leonard (Susan) Fitzgerald, Jenny Robicheau, Margaret (Gary) Hubbard, Theresa Fitzgerald, Kenny Fitzgerald and Irene Saulnier. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Harvey and Howard Fitzgerald; a sister, Eliza Surette and a step-grandson, Matthew Duckworth. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, with prayers at 7 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 24 from St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiating.
