Obituary of Barbara Kathleen Thompson
Barbara Kathleen Thompson, (nee) Foster, born August 4,1943.
Barbara passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 22nd.
Loving wife to Murray Thompson (deceased) for 58 years. The adored and most amazing mother to Shelley (Bob), Tracey (Mike) and Bobbi (Ram). Proud Nan to her five grandchildren, Dylan, Adam, Connor, Christien and Carleigh. Sister to Joseph, Rosemary and the predeceased Eleanor and Leonard. Aunt Barb to many nephews and nieces. Daughter of the predeceased Mae and Martin Foster.
Barb worked as a pharmacist’s assistant for many decades. She made lots of friends over the years. She enjoyed spending time with Murray and their friends at the ANAF Clubs #393 and #229. They spent many summers at Spring Lake RV Park, having fish fries and playing bocce. They travelled each year to new and familiar places. But Barb’s greatest joy came from her family.
Barb will be remembered as someone who loved to laugh and enjoy herself. She was always up for fun. Sleeping was a time waster; she never wanted to miss a thing! She loved spending time with her family, playing games, watching her beloved Raptors & Blue Jays but mostly playing cards. Even her grandkids were subject to her love of cards…as long as they could ante up.
Our family would like to thank Carrie Ielapi. Her care of our parents has made her an honorary member of the family.
Burial has already taken place. A Celebration of Life for Barb will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Barbara
