Obituary of Joan Eleanor Cooney
Passed away at Case Manor Care Community, Bobcaygeon, on Monday April 19, 2021. Joan Cooney (née Abar) aged 82 years. Dearly missed by her daughter Terry Cooney (Don Small) and her son Derek Cooney (Dianne Cross). Grandma will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dante Barrios, Ashley Allingham (Jay), Evan Cross-Cooney (Meaghan McKinley) and her great grandchildren Landon and Charlotte Allingham. Joan is survived by her siblings Iris Tolhurst, Betty Lengyl, Bob Abar and Garry Abar and many nieces and nephews. Joan is predeceased by her parents Walter Abar and Mildred (Jackson), siblings Audrey Ogston, Freddy Abar and Alan Abar.
Joan will be fondly remembered by Kimberly Bachman, Lindsay Roy, her good friends and neighbours, Bob, Anne and Diane and all of her friends and co-workers at WalMart.
A memorial service will take place at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES-LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Friday April 30, 2021 at 2:00PM.
