Obituary of Thomas David Wood
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family. Cherished husband of nearly 50 years and very best friend of Janice (Duncan). Loved and loving father to Tom (Lizabeth) Wood of Smiths Falls; Dan (Tracy) Wood of Napanee; and Wendy (Mike) Mahon of Pembroke. Proud Poppa of Duncan and Cass Wood; Hudson and Dorothy Wood; and Olivia and Breanna Mahon. He will be dearly remembered by many friends, neighbours, and extended family members.
Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing; coaching Little League baseball; Disney World; trains and his beloved time spent in beautiful Dunedin, Florida. “Sir Thomas” was proud of his Scottish heritage. He was a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, the Ottawa Senators, old westerns and military history. First and foremost, Tom was the devoted head of “Poppa’s Wood 14”. We shall miss him so.
Special thanks to those who helped our family through this difficult time. As per his wishes, memorial donations in Tom’s name to Ducks Unlimited Canada or Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital would be appreciated by his family. Cremation has taken place, with a private memorial service and Interment at Crawford’s Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements in care of Blair and Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Thomas
