Dec. 22, 1935 – January 3, 2021
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacob House on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Western Long-Term Care, Palliative Unit at the age of 85. He will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children: Geneva Janes (Bill), Harrison (Monica), Robert (Lisa); granddaughters Marilyn & Shantel, step grandchildren: Danielle & Andrew, great grandchildren: Kayla, Kaleb and Felix; step great grandchildren: Siera, Braden & April; sisters & brothers: Hubert House (Sadie), Gladys Keough, Edna House, Leonard House; brothers & sisters -in-law: Gerald Humber; Annie & Don Shears, Joan & Boyd Pittman, Mona & Gus Carey, Iris Majewski, Linda Payne, Manuel & Thelma Payne, Clyde & Dee Payne, Ronnie & Joyce Payne, Amos & Brenda Payne, Howard Wight, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ethel House, April 9, 2012, parents Abraham & Ivy House, sister Barbara Humber, brothers & sisters-in-law: Ralph Keough, Bobbie Payne, Cynthia Payne, Peter Payne, Caroline Payne, Viola Wight, Ella & Sterling Payne. Special thanks to the caring & attentive staff at Mountain View Retirement Home. Due to Covid -19 restrictions a private family viewing will be held, followed by a private funeral service at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove on January 16th with Rev.DCN Terry Loder officiating, interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers memorial donations made to Parkinson’s, Heart & Stroke or Kidney Foundation would be graciously accepted.
