Helen Maude Outhwaite
It is with sadness that the family of Helen Maude Outhwaite announces her passing at the age of 98 years on April 6th, 2021 at the Lions Prairie Manor surrounded by her wonderful caregivers.
Helen was born July 4th, 1922 to parents Harry and Anne Lloyd. It was on September 30th, 1940 she married George Outhwaite and they celebrated their 50th Anniversary on September 30th, 1990. Together they raised their three children; Margaret, Elaine and Albert while living and working hard on the farm for many years.
Mom had a green thumb and loved gardening and looking after her precious flowers. She canned food for the winter months and followed the rule of her mother “waste not want not”. She could make you a meal from nothing on the spur of the moment. She volunteered her time and baking for community affairs in both MacGregor and in later years Portage la Prairie.
Helen is predeceased by her husband George, parents Harry and Anne Lloyd, siblings; John, Ed and George. She is survived by her children; Margaret, Elaine and Albert and all of their families, along with her sister Alice Jones.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions the family has chosen to wait for safer times to honor Helen with a Celebration of Life which will be announced at a later date.
